What is Open Enrollment?
- It is the time period when all American can buy a guaranteed issue health plan.
- Eligible dates are from:
- November 1st - December 15th for a January 1 effective date
- December 16th - January 15th for a February 1 effective date
- Unless you have a life changing even, you will not be able to select a plan outside of the open enrollment period.
- Special enrollment periods are sometimes created.
